Sol Phenduka advises jailed Shebeshxt

A photo of Shebeshxt beaming from ear to ear inside a holding cell has stirred major conversation online, especially after his bail hearing was unexpectedly pushed to Tuesday, 25 November 2025.

The image, which quickly spread across X (formerly Twitter), also dismissed earlier rumours that the rapper had been released on R5,000 bail, confirming instead that he remains behind bars.

The Limpopo-born rapper, who returned to the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 21 November 2025, is facing charges including attempted murder, malicious damage to property and possession of an unlicensed firearm.

His bail application was scheduled for the same day but was postponed, leaving supporters and critics buzzing on social media.

As the picture of the rapper smiling and shaking hands with someone outside the cell made the rounds, broadcaster Sol Phenduka joined the national debate.

A supporter of Shebeshxt’s music, Sol questioned the timing and optics of the viral moment.

Taking to his X page, he first asked whether the photo was legitimate before offering the rapper some advice, saying the image could work against him.

“This is the time where he should try show some remorse for the sake of his case, not smiling behind bars,” he wrote, urging Shebeshxt to be more cautious about how he presents himself publicly while his legal battle unfolds.
