Smash Afrika faces backlash over ‘unprofessional’ behaviour during Big Brother Mzansi finale

Smash Afrika dragged by some X users

Smash Afrika has come under heavy criticism following his handling of the Big Brother Mzansi season six finale.

The presenter trended shortly after the Sunday, 22 March broadcast, as social media users dissected his reaction to Liema Pantsi being announced as the winner.

Many viewers claimed Smash appeared visibly unhappy with the outcome, with some suggesting he had been rooting for another housemate, allegedly Thandeka.

Criticism intensified when clips of him quickly leaving the stage moments after revealing the winner began circulating online.

For some, the abrupt exit reinforced claims that he was displeased with the result, with several calling his conduct “unprofessional” for such a major live show.

However, not all viewers agreed with the outrage.

Others came to his defence, arguing that his exit was not unusual and followed a pattern seen in previous seasons, where the host steps away shortly after announcing the winner.
