Slik Talk blasts Sol Phenduka over Kaya FM exit

YouTuber Slik Talk has taken aim at Sol Phenduka following his dismissal from Kaya FM.

In a video shared on his channel this week, the outspoken podcaster claimed that Phenduka was earning a staggering R100,000 per month during his time at the station.

The revelation sparked mixed reactions online, with many South Africans questioning both Slik Talk’s remarks and Phenduka’s situation.

Some X users slammed Slik Talk for dragging the former Kaya FM host, while others argued that Phenduka’s role on Podcast and Chill might be better off without him.

“Yeah, well, MacG is the reason he has had that opportunity anyway. Plus, Sol did say he is already getting other radio offers,” wrote @CrampShellVibes in response to the clip.

Another user, @Kego_S, weighed in saying: “People really can’t wait for Sol to leave the podcast because they think it will go down, Lol. That podcast will run well with or without Sol, and I don’t think Sol has the desire to start his own podcast. I get what he said about Mac G, it’s true.”

Phenduka became a trending topic after Kaya FM confirmed his departure in a public statement.

He further fueled speculation by updating his social media bio, which many interpreted as a hint at his firing.

[CONTRADICTION?] Slik Talk drags Sol Phenduka for “fambling a R100k a month salary because of something that was done by somebody else, MacG”—Kaya 959 abused their powers here. 💁

“Imagine Sol fcvks MacG’s wife & MacG is like ‘you done!’ that’s it.”
