Sizwe Dhlomo’s childhood home in Amanzimtoti, KwaZulu-Natal, is currently on the market for R1,6 million.

This idyllic family home has hosted many joyous and significant occasions, such as the traditional wedding of Sizwe’s younger sister Philile Dhlomo, which took place in 2021.

In a Facebook post, Sizwe’s sister Philile shared that they are selling their brown couches for R15,000.

THE DHLOMO’S NEW HOME IN AFFLUENT NEIGHBOURHOOD

During his breakfast show on Kaya FM, which he took over from Dineo Ranaka, Sizwe once said, “I work strictly so that the people that I love can be fine.”

Well, in line with this, the 42-year-old star gifted the picturesque home to his beloved parents in the affluent neighbourhood of Kloof in 2024.

The family has hosted a few occasions at their new home, such as the Dhlomo Housewarming Prayer, where relatives came out in droves to mark this special day.

Beverley Dias, a relative of the family, beamed with gratitude as she sent her best wishes to her relatives in their new home. She also reflected on how humbling it was to watch her famous cousin Sizwe remain connected to the values instilled by his parents.

“Last weekend (January 2025) we were invited to the Dhlomo Housewarming Prayer. It is said that walls and a roof make a house, but a home is a warm place where love resides,” she began.

“What a blessing to be able to give your parents their dream home as a gift. Not because they could not do it, but because you can. What a blessing it is to be a loving big brother to your sisters and the coolest Malume [uncle] to abashana [nieces],” she wrote.

“Also, the humility of taking off the persona that the public is accustomed to and loves, to just being uMondliwesizwe [Sizwe’s full name], firstborn son wakwaDhlomo, who still values all the lessons abazali [parents] and his family,” she added.

The South African credits Beverley Dias for the video below, where Sizwe delivers his speech during the family’s housewarming prayer.

A BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION AT THE NEW HOUSE

In September 2025, family and friends gathered once again for the birthday festivities of Sizwe’s mother at the new house.
