Sizwe Dhlomo

Radio host and media personality Sizwe Dhlomo has made it clear that there are two artists whose music will never make it onto his Kaya FM playlist — Shebeshxt and R. Kelly.

The SizTheWorld presenter, who holds down the weekday breakfast slot from 6 to 9 AM, revealed his stance after being questioned by social media users about his song choices.

On Tuesday, 11 November 2025, one X (formerly Twitter) user asked why he doesn’t play R. Kelly’s music, referencing a previous post where Prince Kaybee had praised the controversial singer. Dhlomo didn’t mince words, replying, “We don’t play R. Kelly.”

While he didn’t go into detail, his response echoed the widespread industry stance against the American artist, whose music has been dropped by several stations worldwide following his sexual abuse convictions.

The following day, another user asked if Dhlomo would consider playing music by South African rapper Shebeshxt. His answer was just as blunt: “No.”

The comments sparked debate online, with some accusing Dhlomo of being selective or “hypocritical,” while others applauded him for taking a firm ethical position on the music he airs.
