Sizwe Dhlomo set to leave Kaya FM
South African media personality Sizwe Dhlomo has officially announced that he is stepping away from Kaya 959.
Listeners were caught off guard on Wednesday morning, 27 May 2026, when Dhlomo shared the news live on air during an emotional address.
The veteran broadcaster revealed that he plans to leave the station at the end of June as he prepares to take a sabbatical after years behind the microphone.
While explaining his decision, Dhlomo admitted that leaving was not easy but said he had already made up his mind about his future long before making the public announcement.
He also made it clear that although he may eventually return to radio, Kaya 959 would not be the station he returns to.
