On the morning of 27 May 2026, radio personality Sizwe Dhlomo revealed that he was leaving Kaya 959’s Siz the World, a popular breakfast show on the radio station. Heading to his X account, he sent a shout-out to ‘Unathi,’ seemingly referring to his former colleague Unathi Nkayi with whom he had beef.

Sizwe’s X post read, “Shoutout to Unathi! Shoutout to Greg Maloka! It’s been a great six years!”

The post quote-tweeted a video of Sizwe’s interview with the hosts of Podcast and Chill, where he revealed that Unathi got him the job in 2020. Greg Maloka, Kaya 959’s former Managing Director, asked for his number and sent him a contract months after their discussion.

According to Kaya 959, Sizwe shared that his time at the radio station had been meaningful and memorable, adding:

“I leave with appreciation and wish the station well as it begins its next chapter.”

Why were Sizwe Dhlomo and Unathi Nkayi beefing?

IOL previously reported that Unathi faced dismissal from Kaya 959 following a heated dispute with Sizwe and her station manager at the time, Sibongile Mtyali. The conflict escalated, leading the singer to file a complaint against Sizwe for verbal abuse. The situation worsened when recordings of the altercation were leaked online.

Sunday World had also reported that the former Idols South Africa judge’s contract was terminated after she refused to apologise to Sizwe. She reportedly wrongfully accused him of being abusive, swearing and being aggressive towards her. Sizwe requested the studio audio recording of their verbal exchange, which supported his version of events.
