On Thursday, 8 June, TV and radio presenter Sizwe Dhlomo had his Twitter followers guessing which was the real Tom Cruise after a sharing picture of three men that looked identical to the beloved American actor.
SIZWE DHLOMO ON AMERICAN ACTOR TOM CRUISE
Taking to his timelines, Dhlomo captioned,
“But Tom does his own stunts, right?”
However, according to Boom Live, the Hollywood actor was actually not any of the men seen in the picture. Instead, the image was said to have been an AI-generated image of the American actor which was reportedly taken before the release of the Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One film. According to Stock Photo Secrets, AI-generated images/photos are entirely created by artificial intelligence software. In layman’s terms, the images were said to be computer-generated from text descriptions and are made to look incredibly realistic.
Nonetheless, Mirror reported that Cruise does actually have a stunt double. In 2017, a day after the Hollywood star broke his ankle during filming a scene for M:I 6-Mission Impossible, his stun double had reportedly previously attempted to jump from the same building which caused his injury and painfully slammed his body on the same wall. Cruise was 55 years at the time and was reportedly expected to recover after four months.
