Sizwe Dhlomo says Gayton McKenzie should be fired
Radio and TV personality Sizwe Dhlomo has weighed in on the controversy surrounding Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture Gayton McKenzie
Responding to the resurfaced remarks that have seen ActionSA file a complaint against McKenzie with the South African Human Rights Commission, Dhlomo tweeted bluntly, “No, he must just get fired. End of story.”
When an online user suggested that he show forgiveness towards the minister, Dhlomo doubled down, replying, “You guys can forgive him but this piece of sh!t @GaytonMcK can’t be our minister of Arts & Culture.”

His comments add to the mounting public pressure on McKenzie, who has dismissed the racism allegations as baseless and politically motivated.
While McKenzie maintains that his record shows no history of racist statements, critics like Dhlomo argue that the controversy has made his position untenable.
The debate continues to fuel heated discussions online, with some agreeing with Dhlomo’s hard stance, while others believe in giving the minister the benefit of the doubt until official findings are made.
