Sizwe Dhlomo announces shock exit from Kaya FM after six years
Media personality Sizwe Dhlomo has announced he is leaving Kaya FM, bringing an end to his six-year tenure at the station.
Sizwe broke the news live on air during his popular breakfast show, #SizTheWorld, today, Wednesday morning, 27 May, catching listeners off guard .
The broadcaster assured fans that the decision was far from impulsive. “I spent the whole year planning this. This is very well thought out,” he said on air . In an emotional address, he admitted the choice was difficult, adding, “Kaya FM has been home to me, but I believe it’s time for a new chapter in my life and career” .
While Sizwe has not yet disclosed his next move, he has hinted at a possible new direction. He has been sharing videos on social media of a studio being built at his home, sparking speculation about his future projects . He has stated he is taking a sabbatical and made it clear that when he does return to radio, it will not be with Kaya 959 .
