A cab went down an embankment on the R102 on Thursday evening, injuring sixteen persons.
Kyle van Reenen, a spokesperson for Emer-G-Med, said they arrived at the accident scene around 18:00 on Thursday. “Just after 18h00 on Thursday, Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to the scene of a collision involving a minibus taxi on the R102 near the Ilovo River Bridge in the Winklespruit area south of Durban.”

According to witness reports, a minibus taxi off the road and rolled down an embankment before coming to a halt on its side. “Sixteen commuters were treated for injuries ranging from minor to serious before being taken to various nearby hospitals for further care.”
Meanwhile, eleven people were injured in Germiston earlier on Thursday when the cab they were riding in flipped on the N17 at the Rondebult turnoff.
