The Carling Knockout Cup returns to the spotlight in Johannesburg and Tshwane this evening with Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns all playing at home.

AmaZulu FC, Sekhukhune United, Golden Arrows and Siwelele FC have all advanced to the quarter-finals. AmaZulu defeated Kruger United 1-0, Sekhukhune did the job with a 3-1 victory over Richards Bay FC, while Golden Arrows thrashed Chippa United 4-0.

The only goalless game was between Siwelele FC and Polokwane City, with Siwelele winnning 4-3 on penalties.

CARLING KNOCKOUT CUP LAST 16

Amakhosi welcome TS Galaxy at the FNB Stadium. The last time the two sides squared up was late last season in the Betway Premiership in April 2026. Kaizer Chiefs won the game 2-0, thanks to goals from Flavio Da Silva and Glody Lilepo.

In the other clash, Mamelodi Sundowns are also home to Marumo Gallants at the Loftus Versfeld. It’s a repeat of last season’s Carling Knockout Cup last 16 game. Gallants sent Sundowns crashing out on 7-6 on penalty kicks after the game had ended 0-0.

Meanwhile, defending champions Orlando Pirates host the high-flying newcomers Milford FC at the Orlando Amstel Arena. It is the two sides’ second meeting since the first day of the Betway Premiership. The Buccaneers won 2-0 but Milford have only lost two out of nine league games.
