Six killed, three injured in Boksburg drive-by shooting

  • Six people were killed and three others injured in a suspected drive-by shooting in Reiger Park, Boksburg, on Saturday evening.
  • Police say the victims include three men and three women.
  • Authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Six people were fatally shot in what is believed to be a drive-by shooting in Reiger Park, Boksburg, on Saturday evening.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, but authorities confirmed that the sixth victim died in hospital from their injuries.

Emergency services responded to the scene, and Gauteng police are yet to release a detailed statement.

National Police Spokesperson Athlenda Mathe said:

“Major General Fred Kekana is on the scene of a mass shooting in which six people have been confirmed dead, three females and three males. Three others have been injured and taken to hospital. This is happening in Reiger Park, JHB.”
