Six cash-in-transit suspects killed in Germiston

Police have confirmed that a group of suspected cash-in-transit criminals were shot and killed in Germiston on Saturday morning.

Hawks spokesperson, Colonel Katlego Mogale, confirmed that six suspects were killed.

Cash stolen from a cash van has been seized, and rifles were also confiscated. The suspects were approached by authorities as they attempted to rob the CIT vehicle.

Gauteng Provincial Police Commissioner, General Tommy Mthombeni, is scheduled to address the media from the scene of the crime.
