South African influencer and DJ Sithelo Shozi is once again at the centre of online conversation—this time following news of her lavish engagement that has set social media buzzing.

According to Fakaza News, Sithelo’s partner proposed with an eye-catching diamond ring reportedly valued at around R59,000. The engagement took place during a romantic getaway in Italy, adding an extra layer of glamour to the already headline-grabbing moment.

Images and clips from the proposal quickly spread across social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, where fans got a glimpse of the scenic location, designer fashion and what many described as “soft life goals.”

As with most high-profile celebrity relationships, reactions online have been divided.

Her supporters flooded timelines with congratulatory messages, praising her lifestyle and celebrating what they see as a well-deserved happy chapter.

Critics, however, questioned the timing and authenticity of the relationship, with some users speculating about how quickly things progressed behind the scenes.

This mix of admiration and scepticism is typical of celebrity discourse, where public figures often face intense scrutiny over their personal lives.

The engagement didn’t just trend because of the romance – it ticked all the boxes for viral gossip such as a luxury international proposal, a high-value engagement ring, a public figure with an already controversial past and enough mystery around the partner to fuel speculation.
