Rising star Miss Mo is celebrating the kind of love that feels certain, joyful and worth shouting about. The singer’s latest release, Nguye (Thungisani), is a feel-good love song about knowing exactly who you want and embracing the excitement of finding your person.

For Miss Mo, real name Amanda Mo, the song was never meant to be overly complicated. She wanted to create something that could instantly connect with listeners.
“I missed music that made you feel something immediately — music that makes you want to dance, sing along and just enjoy the moment,” she says.
That philosophy is at the heart of Nguye (Thungisani), which combines a catchy message about love with a groove designed to get listeners moving.
Miss Mo celebrates choosing your person
There is no single romantic experience behind the song. Instead, Miss Mo drew on the universal feeling of knowing who you want to be with.
She notes that the lyrics express affection, with phrases translating to wanting, dreaming about, and loving someone before returning to the central idea: Nguye — this is the person.
“I wanted to capture that beautiful simplicity of knowing who you want and being able to celebrate it openly.”
The song’s Thungisani refrain adds to that celebratory feeling, turning the discovery of love into something that feels almost like a communal announcement.
“It’s almost like saying, ‘I’ve found my person — let’s celebrate.’”
Love without losing yourself
While Nguye (Thungisani) celebrates finding “the one,” Miss Mo believes being in a relationship should not mean losing your individuality. She explains that women have become more deliberate about what they want from love and partnership.
“I think women have become much more intentional about what love and partnership mean to them,” she says.
For her, finding the right partner is not about moulding yourself around another person.
“It’s about knowing yourself, knowing what you want and choosing a partnership that feels right for you.
“Finding ‘the one’ doesn’t mean that you stop being your own person,” Miss Mo adds. “It means finding someone you can choose, grow with, have fun with and build with while still being fully yourself.”

Inside Miss Mo Presents… Gallery One
Nguye (Thungisani) is part of Miss Mo’s EP, Miss Mo Presents… Gallery One, which takes listeners through a range of emotional experiences. Rather than sticking to one theme, the project explores different sides of life.
Miss Mo compares it to walking through an art gallery, where every room offers something different.
“Nguye (Thungisani) is the celebration of finding love and knowing you’ve found your person,” she explains.
Meanwhile, Imizwa explores emotional vulnerability, while Ngimtholile is about moving forward after a relationship and confidently declaring that you have found someone else.
Asambeni taps into homesickness and the desire to leave the city behind, while Moya focuses on resilience and encouraging yourself to keep going.
The result is a project that moves through love, heartbreak, vulnerability, home, strength and hope. However, the emotional variety is not the only thing Miss Mo wants listeners to notice. She also wants the music itself to stand out.
“I missed hearing feel-good music that was actually musical, music with character, groove and detail that you can dance to but also genuinely listen to,” she says.
Miss Mo steps further into her creative identity
Miss Mo Presents… Gallery One also marks a bigger step in Miss Mo’s creative journey. The project sees her take on several roles behind the music, including producer, creative director, songwriter and executive producer. That makes the EP a personal introduction to the wider creative vision behind her artistry.
For the singer, the EP is only the beginning.
“Gallery One is the first exhibition. There are many more rooms to come.”
