David Anthony Burke, known by his performer name, D4vd, has been arrested on suspicion of murder of the teenage girl whose remains were found in his car last September.

According to The BBC, Burke (21) is being held without bail, and the case will be presented to the District Attorney’s office on Monday.

The BBC reports that questions had been mounting since the discovery of the 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s remains in a Hollywood tow yard, after authorities received reports of a foul odour coming from the vehicle.

Her decomposed head and torso were found in a cadaver bag in the front boot of a Tesla car registered to D4vd’s address in Texas, said the report.

According to , Burke had not been seen for months until his arrest on Thursday.

“We came to the home with a probable cause arrest warrant for him,” LAPD Robbery-Homicide Division commanding officer Captain Scot M. Williams confirmed to The California Post on the scene.

According to TMZ, the singer has been scrapped from Interscope Records’ website. The label had stopped any forward movement on his yet-to-be-released deluxe album and all his musical promotion in the wake of the investigation into the teen’s body being found in a vehicle registered to him.
