Simba Coach Makes Bold Pirates Claim

Simba SC coach Pablo Franco has insisted that Orlando Pirates will be worried about facing the Tanzanian giants in the CAF Confederations Cup quarter-final.

Franco, a former Real Madrid assistant under Julen Lopetegui, replaced Didier Gomes as Simba head coach in November.

He lead the club into the knockout stages of the Confederations Cup after finishing in second place of their group behind RS Berkane.

The 41-year-old has reacted to drawing the Soweto giants, saying the Buccaneers will be worried about facing Simba.

“At this stage there is no margin for mistakes,” he pointed out.

“They are also worried about the draw because they are facing such a good team as Simba.

Both teams will try to play food football because at this stage all teams are good.

“At this stage there will be few chances. This calls for us to be more reliable and competitive in both legs.”

Simba did meet Kaizer Chiefs in the CAF Champions League quarter-final last season, when they lost 4-3 on aggregate.
