Shocking Revelation – ‘No DNA evidence from three suspects in Meyiwa trial’

In the ongoing Senzo Meyiwa murder trial, a senior forensic analyst revealed that the DNA found on the checkered hat discovered at the crime scene does not match any of the accused individuals.

Captain Mmampshedi Masetla, acting as a State witness, testified on Monday, presenting his analysis of the DNA evidence gathered from the scene of the crime.

Senzo Meyiwa, the renowned football star, was fatally shot at the residence of his girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo, in October 2014.

Some witnesses in the trial have claimed that the checkered hat, found at Khumalo’s home following the murder, belonged to one of the intruders who left it behind while fleeing.

However, Masetla’s analysis contradicts this claim, as the DNA on the hat does not match any of the individuals facing trial.

Furthermore, the DNA on the hat appears to be a mixture of profiles from different genders, suggesting that it could have been worn by two men or a man and a woman.

Masetla’s testimony also indicated that Mthokoziseni Maphisa, Fisokuhle Ntuli, and Muzikawukhulelwa Sibiya have been excluded as sources of DNA in all the swabs collected from the house.
