Shimza debuts at Tomorrowland after fire chaos

Shimza performs for the first time at Tommorrowland

South African DJ Shimza has reached a defining moment in his career, performing for the first time at the world-renowned Tomorrowland festival in Belgium.

Just two days before he was scheduled to perform, a massive fire broke out on the Orbyz stage, one of the festival’s major attractions, throwing the entire event into uncertainty.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported, but the damage left fans questioning whether Shimza’s long-awaited set would still happen.

In the days leading up to the show, reports emerged hinting that the fire could lead to cancelled or rescheduled performances.

Even Shimza kept quiet, sparking anxiety among supporters back home who have followed his journey from local gigs to global stages.

Industry insiders voiced concern, fearing that the tragedy might force organisers to reshuffle their plans.

But in a stunning turnaround, Tomorrowland organisers managed to rebuild the gutted stage in just 48 hours.

Though the new set-up was described as smaller and more intimate, it retained the signature energy and technical brilliance Tomorrowland is famous for.

Against all odds, Shimza took to the decks on Friday, marking his official debut at the prestigious festival, an opportunity he once called his “lifelong dream.”

The moment was not just a personal victory but also a proud one for his fans, who flooded social media with the hashtag #ShimzaAtTomorrowland, celebrating his resilience and rise on the international scene.
