“She’s all grown up” Mokgadi from Skeem Saam shows off her baby attempting to speak
Pebetsi Matlaila, better known as Mokgadi Matloga on Skeem Saam, recently shared a video of her adorable baby, Qhawekazi, with her fans. The actress doesn’t usually share details about her personal life on social media, especially this toddler she just had last year who is currently making an effort to speak.
Fans saw the toddler at this age for the first time in the Instagram video she shared, and they were shocked by how quickly time had passed, considering she had only been in her mother’s stomach a year ago. She revealed in her caption that she treasures these moments, which is understandable given that she hardly ever gets to spend time with her baby due to her busy schedule as Mokgadi on Skeem Saam. The toddler’s speech is unclear, and it appears that she is still unable to walk because of her cute struggle to ascend the stairs. Pebetsi keeps attempting new words, and the toddler endearingly imitates her. It seems she is teaching her to speak at all costs.
Many people commented in the comments section about how adorable she is. Pebetsi revealed that she nearly passed away while carrying Qhawekazi. She claims that after having brief labour pains, she drove herself to the hospital, where she was informed that her unborn child was in distress because of her extremely high blood pressure, putting both of them at risk of dying.
All she could recall, she admitted, was using the last of her strength to grab the hem of a nurse’s scrub and mime the phrase “I can’t breathe.” She heard her baby crying when she woke up and noted how quickly it had happened. She was shocked to see the doctors and nurses frantically checking her, inserting drips and pipes into her mouth, and her doctor saying, “Nolo, we nearly lost you.” She was dead for three minutes and needed to be revived and given oxygen. Qhawekazi, her daughter, underwent several brain exams, and fluid was removed from her lungs, but now that the toddler is awake and alive, everything is fine!
In November 2020, Pebetsi Nolo Matlaila wed TV producer Lloyd Mbatha; however, they later divorced. Both this baby she posted and their daughter, Oarabile, are his. On the SABC1 soap opera Skeem Saam, Mokgadi Matloga has been portrayed by Pebetsi Nolo Matlaila since the third season in 2014. On Capricorn FM, Pebetsi also hosted daily shows. In 2003, Pebetsi Nolo Matlaila graduated from Capricorn High School in Polokwane. After graduating high school, she enrolled in an acting, presenting, and production school. The University of South Africa awarded her a Bachelor’s degree.
