Shebeshxt leaks his bank balance

Limpopo musician Lehlohonolo Chauke, better known as Shebeshxt, has once again stirred up conversation online after revealing his bank balance to fans.

The outspoken artist took to TikTok to flaunt his account, showing that he has more than R1 million available.

This comes shortly after the controversial star made headlines for jokingly asking followers for donations following his car accident.

In the clip, Shebeshxt appears to hit back at rumours suggesting he is broke, bragging about his financial standing and even pointing out that he does not bank with Capitec.

The video, which quickly spread across social media, left South Africans divided.

Some argued that the amount was underwhelming for a performer of his stature, while others defended him, pointing out that he could have several accounts.

One user, @SAPresidentZA, commented: “He’s broke, and he is not saving money. He should start saving money. He charges R70k–R150k per gig, which means in a month, he makes R1.4 million for two gigs in one weekend and four times a month. Or R700k per month in lazy days. So that balance ke (is) change. He should have R10 million at least by now after paying his road manager and production team.”

Another follower, @_MaBuda, suggested the account shown might not reveal the full picture.

“You’re right, but this could be one of multiple accounts, and that could be his lowest amount. Hence, the comfort in showing that one in particular. We just don’t really know. If he buys another Golf GTI 8 or R, he will be left with zero.”
