The popular Lekompo musician, Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke (30), widely known as “Shebeshxt,” will remain in police custody until Monday, 25th November 2025, after his bail application was postponed by the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court.
Shebeshxt appeared in court on Friday morning facing new charges of attempted murder and malicious damage to property.
These charges stem from an incident on 19th October 2025 in Ladanna, Polokwane, where the musician allegedly confronted a motorist and fired several shots at both the individual and their vehicle.
The bail hearing was postponed after the artist’s legal team informed the court that they had received new information and required more time to prepare, particularly as the matter has been classified under Schedule Six—which indicates a serious offence.
This latest arrest adds to the musician’s extensive legal troubles. Shebeshxt is already facing separate pending court matters, including two counts of attempted murder, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, robbery with aggravating circumstances, and malicious injury to property.
His trial scheduled to commence at the Lebowakgomo Regional Court from 17th to 19th February 2026.
