Shauwn Mkhize responds to claims of abuse made by Sithelo Shozi against her son
Businesswoman and reality TV star Shauwn Mkhize released a statement on Wednesday afternoon, responding to allegations of abuse levelled against her son, Andile Mpisane.
This comes after DJ Sithelo Shozi, the mother of Andile’s children claimed that she has been abused by the musician during their relationship.
“I have been made aware of the allegations made against my family by Sithelo Shozi on her Instagram account, which have since been deleted. Given my history and strong stance against Gender Based Violence, I do not take these accusations lightly. I do not and will never condone violence in any form or nature,” the statement begins to read.
“I would like to categorically state that neither myself nor my family have been witness to any alleged abuse against Sithelo and further like to highlight that these allegations are false and defamatory,” the statement continues before ending with Shauwn saying that she will not be commenting further on the matter but will be handing it over to her legal team.
“Given the nature, severity and extent of these allegations the matter has been referred to my attorneys and from now henceforth they will be handling everything in relation to this matter. It is of utmost importance that we let the law take its course,” she continues.
