Serious fight over late Mshoza’s children

Late Kwaito star Nomasonto “Mshoza” Maswanganyi’s family has revealed her former husband and baby daddy Jacob Mnisi is denying them access to see her two children.

The family also alleges that Mnisi didn’t show up at the popular musician’s funeral in 2020 when she passed away from complications of COVID-19.

The popular musician Nomasonto “Mshoza” Maswanganyi and Jacob Mnisi, who have two children together tied the knot in 2007 and divorced in 2011 after accusing each other of cheating.

Mshoza’s sister Thandi Maswanganyi told the publication that Mnisi sent his mother and brother to fetch the children, aged 11 and 13, a month after her passing because she was unemployed and struggling to make ends meet.

She says Mnisi agreed to let the children come visit them during the June and December holidays but later refused to bring them and instead sent them to his farm to spend time with his son from his previous relationship.

“The kids are not reachable because they don’t have cellphones. When we phoned his son to give us the address of the farm, he ignored us and even refused to send us the location.”

“This has been going on since he took the kids from us. We have not seen my sister’s children since 2020.”

She also alleges that Mnisi’s mother wanted to take Mshoza’s furniture from her house but she stopped her.

“I told her that she had no right to take Sonto’s furniture because she bought it after she divorced Mnisi. I could see that she was not happy with me after that and I think that’s what caused the fallout between us.”

The businessman Jacob Mnisi confirmed claims made by Thandi Maswanganyi when the publication reached out to him.

Mnisi alleges that Nomasonto Maswanganyi’s family contacted his children with the late musician while they were at school and poisoned them against him.

“They phoned them and told them nonsense about me. I pay school fees and buy food for these children, and I don’t owe the school a cent but they phoned my kids and tell them a lot of nonsense about me. “

He adds that he will only give them his address and allow them to see their sister’s kids if they stopped what they’re doing.
