Requirements
- Relevant B Degree in any relevant Built Environment Discipline
(Construction Management, Town Planning, Civil Engineering, Architecture)
- 5 years or more relevant experience required (in Housing and/ or
project management)
- Computer Literacy
- Professional Drivers Permit (D): Code B
- A Town Planning background will be an advantage
Key Performance Areas
- Co-ordinate the implementation of integrated housing project in an
allocated region including the full management function of the key performance areas of the housing projects
- Plan housing projects for the region in association with the Head
Project Coordination to ensure that sufficient input into the packaging of a specific project for implementation is provided and available
- Manage the implementation of specific housing projects in the
region ensuring the sufficient coordination implementation of all housing projects
- Draft reports to Portfolio committees, Sub council, Supply Chain
Management and Mayco regarding progress, approval and budgets
- Liaison with project Committee to inform community leaders of all
new developments and related information in order to ensure that all role players are well informed at all times regarding the progress, potential problems and new challenges facing the project
- Manage the project budget regarding expenditure in consultation
with relevant finance section and department in order to ensure that the projects are in line with allocated budget
- Manage the compliance and quality aspects of the specific
projects allocated in order to ensure that all the projects comply with all legal specifications and regulations
- Manage staff assigned in order to ensure a climate conducive to
promoting and sustaining motivational levels, productivity, performance, training and enabling the Unit to meet its service delivery objectives
