Kaizer Chiefs winger Kgaogelo Sekgota says he is working hard to win his place back into the team before the end of the season.
Sekgota, 25, was dubbed as the star player of Chiefs by head coach Arthur Zwane earlier in the season after starting seven of their opening ten games, with real livewire displays which brought two assists.
His form, albeit not finding the net, earned him a call-up to the senior national team but since then he’s started just one game out of a possible 16.
“I have been working hard and getting motivation from the technical team. Obviously, everything has its moment. All in good time, so it’s good,” Sekgota tells the club’s website.
“The team has been doing well. We won a few games in a row, and obviously it’s sad when, as Kaizer Chiefs, you lose a game [against Sekhukhune] but we still have a lot to play for.
“We’ve got the Nedbank Cup semi-final. We’ve got some games left to finish the season very well, as far up as possible.
“The team is working very hard, daily, and we are ready for anything that comes.”
Sekgota, who plied his trade in Lithuania and Portugal before returning to South Africa, has yet to open his account for Amakhosi in 42 games since his arrival from Swllows in July 2021.
