South African music lovers are in for a dancehall extravaganza this December as Grammy Award-winning Jamaican superstar Sean Paul prepares to bring his international hits to Cape Town, Pretoria and Durban.

The dancehall heavyweight will perform in three cities from December 3 to 6, 2026, promising fans nights filled with infectious rhythms, high-energy performances and chart-topping anthems that have dominated dance floors around the world for more than two decades.

The tour comes as the superstar promotes his latest single, DIP, a high-energy collaboration with DJ, producer and creator Sommer Ray.

Presented by Fire Water Earth Productions and Blu Blood, the tour will kick off at the Grand Arena at GrandWest in Cape Town on Thursday, December 3, before moving to SunBet Arena at Time Square in Pretoria on Friday, December 4. The final show will take place at the Durban ICC on Sunday, December 6.

Tickets are available through the official Blu Blood ticketing platform.

Sean Paul, whose real name is Sean Paul Ryan Francis Henriques, has built a global following through hits such as Temperature, Get Busy, Gimme the Light, Like Glue and No Lie.

His distinctive vocal delivery and fusion of Jamaican dancehall with international pop and hip-hop have made him one of the genre’s most recognisable global ambassadors.

For South African fans, the upcoming tour offers an opportunity to experience the musician behind some of the biggest party anthems of the 2000s and beyond.

New single sets the tone

The tour announcement coincides with the release of DIP, a dancehall-driven track designed to get listeners moving.

Released through Dutty Rock Productions, the single reflects Sean Paul’s continued commitment to creating music that connects with audiences across different countries and generations.

“DIP” also has another version featuring American rapper Gunna, adding a hip-hop dimension to the collaboration.

The new music is expected to add to the excitement surrounding the South African shows, giving fans a taste of the energy they can anticipate when the Jamaican star takes to the stage.

Beyond his success as a performer, Sean Paul has continued to work as a producer through Dutty Rock Productions, supporting Jamaican music and helping to keep dancehall connected to the international music scene.

Three cities, three nights

The December tour will give fans across three major South African cities an opportunity to be part of the dancehall celebration.

Cape Town will host the opening show at the Grand Arena at GrandWest on December 3, followed by Pretoria at SunBet Arena at Time Square on December 4.

Durban will bring the tour to a close at the Durban ICC on December 6.

The events are presented in association with broadcast partners KFM in Cape Town, 947 in Pretoria and East Coast Radio in Durban.

Organisers have also indicated that a South African act will be announced to share the stage with Sean Paul, adding further anticipation to the upcoming shows.

With the December holiday season approaching, fans are encouraged to secure their tickets early.
