About Hongzhou Learning
Hangzhou learning is an education platform and aims to provide educational resources, encourage cooperation between universities and organizations and carry out inter-school exchanges of students, teachers, volunteers, etc.
Founded in 2013, it is based in Beijing and carries out cooperation with more than 130 institutions in China, in addition to universities from the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and 16 more countries from Europe. Hangzhou learning is recognized by the Chinese government and embassies of many countries around the world.
As part of the scholarship programme, Hangzhou Learning is offering the students of South Africa to study at two universities in China in 2022, Beijing polytechnic and Ningxia University, as part of their China scholarship programme.
Scholarship Programme in Participating Universities in China
The students will get a chance to study at Ningxia University and Beijing Polytechnic (online programme). The scholarships are offered for students who are looking to complete Bachelor’s studies, post-graduate degrees, or online language studies for the Chinese language.

- Environmental studies
- Philosophy

- Psychology
- Mechanics
- Chinese
- Maths
- Engineering, and many more subdivisions of these vast fields.
The scholarship covers many financial costs
The Chinese language online programme offers tuition fee waivers.
For bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. programmes, a monthly stipend is offered (RMB 2500 for Ph.D., RMB 3000 for masters, 3500 for Ph.D.) along with accommodation allowance and tuition fee exemption.
Who should apply?
The interested applicants must meet the following requirements to apply for the China scholarship programme 2022:
For students applying to Ningxia University, the following is the eligibility criteria:
- Must have a valid student visa
- Have Achieved 75% or above average marks
- Must be in good health
- Should be from China only
For bachelors:
- Must-Have HSK 4 certificate
- Age should be between 18-25
For Masters:
- Must-Have HSK 5 certificate
- Age should not be more than 35 years
For Ph.D.:
- Must-Have HSK 6 certificate
- Age should not be more than 40 years
For students applying to Beijing polytechnic:
- Must have Achieved at least 60% average marks
- Age should be between 18-30 years
How do I apply?
Student must submit their application through Hangzhou learning at studyinchina@hzlearning.com, with the required documents attached in their application file.
An administration fee of $50-100 will be charged. Students will be assisted in preparing their application as part of the scholarship service, to increase their chances of getting the scholarship.

- White background digital photo (2 inches)
- Certified report of police clearance

- AIDS report
Beijing Wuzi University
- Application form
- Physically fit

- No criminal records
- HSK/ IELTS (if available)
- White background photo (2 inches)
- Bank statement
- Recommendation letters ( two for master application)
Beijing Polytechnic:
- Application form
- Certificate of the highest degree

Application Deadline?
The deadline for applying to Ningxia University is June 2022, whereas, for Beijing polytechnic, the deadline is 15 July 2022.
