Tuks Ladies from Gauteng will take on NWU Tawana of the North West in the first semifinal. The two clash on Friday at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium at 11:00.
The hosts Copperbelt Ladies, who have had a good run in the tournament, will play Lindelani Ladies of KwaZulu-Natal. Their match, the second semifinal, is set for 15:00.
Both matches will be broadcasted live on SABC Sport.
Tuks qualified top of Group A with six points after beating the Free State-based side Central University of Technology 3-0. On the other hand, Lindelani played out a 1-all draw with NWU Tawana. It was enough for both sides to cruise their way into the semis.
The Limpopo side Copperbelt also finished top of Group B with six points following their 3-1 over Western Cape’s Dangerous Hero Ladies.
The two teams to qualify for the finals will gain promotion to the Hollywoodbets Super League.
The finals will take place at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday, 23 October, with kick-off set for 15:30.
SAFA PRESIDENT’S TAKE ON THE PLAYOFFS
“The Sasol League National Championship has become a key event in our football calendar,” Dr Danny Jordan told SAFA.
“For years now, the championship has become a breeding ground for future Banyana Banyana players.
“Most of the current Banyana Banyana players who conquered the continent during the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco were spotted in this tournament.
“And we are confident that more future Thembi Kgatlanas and Jermaine Seoposenwes will be unearthed during the upcoming tournament.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Sasol for being reliable partners in the phenomenal growth of women’s football.
“Sasol is proverbially putting their money where their mouth is.”
