Pamela Mtanga and Siyabonga ‘Scoop’ Ngwekazi have been revealed as the hosts of the highly anticipated 31st edition of the South African Music Awards (SAMAs).
Pamela recently showcased her presenting skills as a co-host at the Miss South Africa pageant alongside Nomalanga Shozi; while Siyabonga hosted the Metro FM awards earlier this year.
SAMA spokesperson Unati Gwija said: “Siyabonga and Pamela bring a rare combination of experience, authenticity, and cultural resonance. Together they will deliver a hybrid show that is fresh, compelling, and worthy of the legacy of South African music.”
The awards will take place on December 14, following the theme “Flowers For Those Who Keep Our Nation Singing”. The awards were previously held at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand last year. However, this year’s venue has not been confirmed.
Explaining the theme further, Unati said it was a call of appreciation, to give our artists their flowers now.
“It’s about recognising the musicians, producers, composers, and collaborators who continue to make South Africa sing, who turn struggle into sound and rhythm into resilience,” Unati said.
