Bafana Bafana forward Lyle Foster, Kobamelo Kodisang and Liam Jordan all got on the scoresheet in Europe this weekend.

Foster netted his sixth goal in the Belgian top-flight this season in his 11th consecutive start, which took his overall tally to nine goal contributions with three assists to his name.

The 22-year-old has become one of the standout performers for Westerlo as one of the first names on the teamsheet for head coach Jonas De Roeck and it’s no surprise to see him named in Hugo Broos’ 30-man provisional squad last week.

With the final 23-man squad finalised on Tuesday afternoon, the likes of Kodisang would have been aggrieved not to have been considered for selection with the Moreirense forward in sparkling form.

The 23-year-old took his tally for the season to six goals too, as they beat Porto B 3-2 on Saturday to move four points clear at the summit of the Portuguese second-tier in their course for a return back to the top flight.

Jordan (24) also continued his rich vein of form in his quest for the Danish second-tier Golden Boot, with his seventh league goal as FC Helsingör beat fellow promotion-chasing side Hvidovre IF 1-0,

The result moved them six points behind the league leaders Vejle BK, at the halfway mark of the NordicBet Liga.

Meanwhile, another member of the Bafana squad, Luke Le Roux, is set to arrive in South Africa with a real boost of confidence as he bragged an assist in Varbergs Bois 3-2 win over Sirius this weekend.

Compatriot Tashreeq Morris was on the opposite side and featured for 86 minutes of the encounter playing in an advanced midfield role, but was upstaged by his former teammate – having left Varbergs in the mid-season window.

Sirius have retained their top-flight status but Varbergs are set to compete in the play-off final against Osters for a place in the top-flight next season. However, Le Roux is unlikely to remain at the club for much longer with his own head coach Joakim Persson recently stating he’s destined for a big-money move at the end of the 2022 Allsvenskan season.

France based duo Lebo Phiri and Lebo Mothiba were also in action for the respective clubs Paris FC and Strasbourg, with the former producing an impressive midfield display despite their 1-0 defeat to Bastia.
