A South African international has left their club in Europe after deciding against renewing her contract.

Jermaine Seoposenwe has been one of the key players for Braga since signing a two-year deal with the club in July 2020.

The 28-year-old joined the Portuguese outfit after leaving Spanish Primera Liga club Real Betis and she went on to make over 50 appearances in all competitions.

Braga won the 2020/21 Portuguese Cup after a 3-1 victory against arch-rivals SL Benfica, with Seoposenwe netting a brace.

In March 2022, Miguel Santos’ troops clinched the 2021/22 Taca da Liga after defeating Benfica on penalties.

The charismatic attacking midfielder has made 78 appearances for the South African national team and netted 16 goals in the process.

Coach Desiree Ellis recently named her in a 23-woman squad that is set to do battle in the upcoming Africa Women’s Cup of Nations.
