Royal AM has been fined once again after failing to provide match officials with ‘relevant communication devices’, Zola Majavu has confirmed.

In the fixture against Sekhukhune earlier this month, Babina Noko launched an official complaint that the officials did not have the necessary equipment to communicate with each other for the DStv Premiership fixture.

The PSL acted swiftly as the club appeared before the Disciplinary Committee on Wednesday in which they were found guilty.

“I can confirm that earlier today, Royal AM Football Club appeared before the PSL DC to answer to charges of failure to provide the match officials with the relevant communication devices, which have been provided to them by the league and in accordance with applicable prescripts,” he said in the official statement from the league.

“They pleaded guilty and were convicted accordingly, having listened to all the submissions, both in aggravation and mitigation of sentence, the PSL DC find the monetary amount of R50,000, half of which is suspended for a period of 24 months on condition that during the period of suspension, they are not found guilty of the same offense again.

“They were further ordered to pay the costs of the DC which would, in any event, be administratively computed by the league and added to their total bill for payment.”

John Maduka’s side has soared back into the top-eight since his return and still sit seventh after their 5-1 thumping at the hands of DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
