Riveiro – I Don’t Add Drama To The Drama

Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro says they are not focusing on their last four results ahead of the MTN8 final against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday afternoon.

Pirates are in a poor run with three defeats and a CAF Champions League exit in the space of their last four games coming into the fixture against the unbeaten league champions.

“I don’t know which results you’re even talking about, I’m fully focused on the final, I’m not a person who adds drama to the drama,” Riveiro, who has won both domestic cup titles since his arrival in South Africa said in the pre-match press conference on Tuesday.

“It’s done, there’s nothing we can do anymore, all we can do – is our best this week in order to be prepared, we have to execute a very good game if we want to be the champions again and that’s where our attention is.

“We tried to learn from the mistakes but as I said, we don’t want to find ourselves crying in the corners, we look to the future and I think it’s an excellent opportunity to be in a final after a difficult period – and try to prove ourselves in such a scenario.”

The Buccaneers take on Rulani Mokwena’s side at 18h00 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
