In a heartbreaking incident, 27-year-old Nontokozo Mokae from Keiskamma-Hoek, Eastern Cape, tragically lost her life on Saturday, 1 July.
The young woman was a victim of a brutal gang rape and murder, leaving the community in shock and grief.
According to reports, two men, aged 20 and 21, allegedly attacked Nontokozo outside her home, subjecting her to a horrific ordeal before leaving her for dead.
A passer-by discovered her outside her residence and rushed her to the hospital, but her injuries proved fatal, and she passed away.

Nontokozo’s untimely death is a devastating blow to her loved ones and the community at large.
She had recently graduated and had just begun her career as a teacher, filled with aspirations and dreams for the future.
