Chippa United came back from 3-1 down to secure a 3-3 draw against Richards Bay in a thrilling DStv Premiership clash at Wits Stadium on Sunday.
Richards Bay went to the halftime break leading 1-0 after a Solima Ntsundwana goal.
The visitors increased their lead early in the second half through an own goal by Zuko Mdunyelwa. But the Chilli Boys scored 10 minutes later through Ronaldo Maarman.
Ntsundwana increased the lead for the visitors to also score his second brace of the season. But United did not back down as they made a dramatic comeback in the dying minutes of the game.
Ronald Pfumbidzai scored in the 76th minute to make it 3-2 before Nigerian striker Etiosa Ighodaro found an equaliser two minutes later.
RICHARDS BAY FORM
It was the fifth draw of the season for Richards Bay who remain second on the DStv Premiership log with 23 points from 13 matches. Five points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns who have played a match less.
Chippa on the other hand remains sixth on the log with 18 points from 13 games.
SEKHUKHUNE DROP POINTS
Meanwhile, Sekhukhune United played to a 1-1 draw against TS Galaxy at Mbombela Stadium on Sunday.
The result takes Sekhukhune one place up from the bottom of the log to second from bottom. Galaxy also move to 12th on the log with 13 points from 1 matches.
