The match was originally scheduled for the weekend but has been brought forward to accommodate Kaizer Chiefs’ continental commitments.

The Soweto giants are preparing for a crucial TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup preliminary-round clash against Red Arrows of Zambia.

The change means Amakhosi will now have to quickly switch between their domestic and continental commitments, with both competitions demanding maximum focus.

KAIZER CHIEFS MAKE CONTINENTAL COMMITMENT

The fixture adjustment was made to help the Soweto giants manage their demanding schedule ahead of their trip to face Red Arrows, the Zambian Cup champions.

With the CAF Confederation Cup tie requiring significant travel and preparation, the revised Betway Premiership schedule gives Amakhosi additional room to manage their continental commitments without creating further congestion in the domestic calendar.

The rescheduled match will now be played under the FNB Stadium floodlights on Tuesday evening, with supporters urged to take note of the change.

For the technical team, the quick turnaround will also require careful management of training and player workloads. Kaizer Chiefs will need to balance their domestic ambitions with the demands of their African campaign.

AMAKHOSI UNBEATEN AFTER SEVEN MATCHES

Kaizer Chiefs have made an encouraging start to the 2026/27 Betway Premiership campaign under manager Fernando Da Cruz.

After their opening seven matches, Amakhosi remain unbeaten, recording three victories and four draws. That run has left them fourth on the table with 13 points.

Their campaign started with a 3-1 victory over Kruger United, while one of their notable results came against Mamelodi Sundowns, with the two sides playing out a 1-1 draw.

Kaizer Chiefs have scored 12 goals and conceded seven across their opening seven league matches, highlighting the improved attacking output while also showing areas that still require attention.

Now, Stellenbosch FC stand in their way at FNB Stadium on Tuesday, 13 October.

The fixture promises another important test for Amakhosi. They want to maintain their unbeaten league record while preparing for the demands of their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
