Renger van der Zande and Antonio Fuoco crashed out of the WEC 6 Hours of Spa race in their Cadillac and Ferrari while competing in the hypercar class.
Van der Zende, 37, was lucky to walk away from a nasty shunt at Eau Rouge on what is considered one of the toughest corners in motorsport.
The Safety Car was immediately deployed after the Dutch driver’s crash as the no.3 Cadillac Racing hypercar smashed into the tyre barriers at high speed.
