The saying “Jill of all trades but mistress of none” seemingly does not apply to Relebogile Mabotja, because she slays in all her creative endeavours.
The multi-talented star is singing a new tune with the release of her exceptionally produced album, which was launched on Thursday, 26 February at the Primedia offices in Johannesburg.
The event was attended by many distinguished guests, including Lira, Brenda Mtambo, RJ Benjamin, Nothemba Madumo, and Berita, to name just a few.
‘OWNING ALL MY GIFTS’
Relebogile makes her return to the world of music with her live debut EP, Still Me. She collaborated with notable musicians, such as RJ Benjamin, who not only featured on the song I Feel Nothing but also produced it, as well as Chadwin Alexander, who was responsible for producing most of the album.
On Instagram, Relebogile expressed that her latest project was all about embracing her gifts.
“What started as liberation from the shackles of my own fears and insecurities has evolved into me owning all my gifts and my power and honouring my first love…Music.”
THE REVIEW
Although Still Me comprises of only five songs, they’re enough to allow the world into the mind and soul of Relebogile.
After listening to the lead single Still Me and You’re the Only One, one couldn’t help but feel the echoes of Mimi Mtshali’s Goodbye Loneliness and Anita Baker’s Sweet Love in some parts of the songs.
The arrangements and live performance of the songs breathed new life into the EP; the backing vocalists deserve their flowers – they delivered a brilliant performance that complemented Relebogile.
Another banger on the EP is I Feel Nothing. The upbeat vibe of the song, along with Relebogile’s cheeky “Ah-ah”, further conveys the uplifting message of her moving on, while the closing song, Mmamogoai’s Prayer, was a pleasant surprise. This gospel tune further solidifies her musical range.
Despite this being her first body of work, Relebogile has previously dabbled in music, having lent her voice to the theme song of SABC 2’s Afro Café under her company, Lebotja Media.
RELEBOGILE: AN ALL-ROUNDER OF NOTE
Relebogile also has a thriving YouTube channel, and her reputation as an interviewer earned her praise from both viewers and fellow creatives within the industry.
Media personalities, Dineo Ranaka and Siyabonga Ngwekazi, said that they accepted Relebogile’s invitation for an interview because her platform is “a safe space”, and that she has a knack for “asking poignant questions”.
Surely the airports love to see Relebogile coming because the good sis stays catching fights, not feelings. The mother of one and digital content creator Neleagh Davids partnered with a travel agency for an unforgettable trip of a lifetime to Mozambique in February 2026.
