Temperature and UVB forecast

Gauteng:

Temperature: Fine and cool.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Morning fog in places over the escarpment and the Lowveld, otherwise fine and cool to warm, with frost in the southern Highveld.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Cloudy with morning fog in places in the north and over the Lowveld, otherwise fine and cool to warm.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine and cool to warm.

Free State:

Temperature: Fine and cold to cool.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Fine and cool to warm, but partly cloudy in the south where it will be cold in places.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Cloudy to partly cloudy and cool to cold with isolated to scattered showers and rain, except for the north-east and extreme north-western parts where it will be partly cloudy, clearing by the late afternoon.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate westerly to north-westerly but fresh along the south coast in the morning, otherwise moderate to fresh southerly to southwesterly, but strong along the south coast where it will moderate by the afternoon. It will become moderate to fresh south-easterly north of Cape Agulhas in the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low

Eastern Cape:

The Western half – Fine and cold, becoming cloudy with isolated showers and rain, but scattered to widespread along the coast and adjacent interior.

The Western half -Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-westerly.

The Eastern half -Fine and cold but cool south of the escarpment. It will become partly cloudy in the afternoon, but cloudy south of the escarpment with isolated showers and rain.

The Eastern half -The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-westerly.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Fine and cool.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be light northerly to north-easterly, becoming fresh to strong south-westerly from the south towards the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.
