Temperature and UVB forecast

Gauteng:

Temperature: Partly cloudy and cool to cold with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers in places.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cold to cool but warm in the Lowveld.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Cloudy and cool in the west with isolated showers and thundershowers, otherwise partly cloudy and warm.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine and cool to warm, becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers.

Free State:

Temperature: Morning fog patches in the east, otherwise partly cloudy and cool with isolated showers and thundershowers over the northern parts.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Fine and cool to warm, becoming partly cloudy in the north-east.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Morning fog patches over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and cool, but cloudy at times in the south where it will be cold with isolated showers and rain but scattered along the south coast.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate northerly to north-westerly north of Saldanha Bay, but fresh to strong along the south coast becoming fresh to strong southerly from late afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half – Fine and cool, becoming cloudy south of Somerset East in the afternoon, with evening showers and rain, but scattered along the coast.

The Western half -Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly.

The Eastern half -Fine and cool, becoming cloudy south of escarpment in the afternoon with fog patches.

The Eastern half -The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Fine and cool, but warm in the north-east.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate northerly to northwesterly, becoming south-westerly in the extreme south from late morning, spreading to St. Lucia by the end of the period.
