Robert Cosby Jr., the son of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Mary Cosby, has died at the age of 23.

He reportedly suddenly died on Monday from what was thought to be a drug overdose three weeks after he was released from prison. The cause of death has not been confirmed as it is still under investigation.

According to the Daily Mail, a tearful Cosby spoke about her son during the reunion of part two of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 6.

“You don’t wanna see your kid suffer,” Mary told Andy Cohen.

On the show, Mary and Robert Jr. talk on numerous occasions about his struggles, with Mary telling her only child that she would not know what to do if she ever lost him.

He also openly told his mother about his drug use on the show.

Cosby paid tribute to her son on her social media, also extending gratitude to her supporters for their prayers.

Cosby has been in the news because of her controversial marriage to her late grandmother’s husband. Robert Cosby Sr. is not her biological grandfather, but was married to the leader of the Faith Temple Pentecostal Church in Salt Lake City, Mary’s grandmother.

Mary inherited the church after her grandmother’s death and then married Robert Sr. The couple leads the church, with Mary serving as the preacher.

Former members of the church allege that the church is run like a cult, with Mary and Robert demanding money from the members.

Mary boasts about her wealth and designer lifestyle on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, which many attribute to the finances she takes from her church.

She denies that she runs a cult with her husband.
