Rapper Lil Jon’s son, Nathan Smith, found dead

Nathan Smith, the son of US rapper, Lil Jon, has been found dead after he was last seen on February 3, 2026.

Smith was professionally known as DJ Young Slade.

The 27-year-old was allegedly disoriented when he left home on foot, without his cellphone. The family reported him missing and the Milton Police Department put out a missing person’s bulletin out for him.

According to The San Francisco Chronicle, Smith’s body was found this week in a pond near his home in suburban Atlanta.

The Turn Down For What rapper announced the loss of his son on Friday.

“I am extremely heartbroken for the tragic loss of our son, Nathan Smith. His mother, Nicole Smith, and I are devastated,” said Lil Jon.

“Nathan was the kindest human being you would ever meet. He was immensely caring, thoughtful, polite, passionate, and warmhearted – he loved his family and the friends in his life to the fullest.”

NEW: The body of Rapper Lil Jon’s son, Nathan Smith, has been found in a pond in Georgia, days after he went missing.

“He was an amazingly talented young man; a music producer, an artist and engineer, and graduate of NYU,” the statement continued.

“We loved Nathan with all of our hearts and are incredibly proud of him.”
