Raphael Benza Shares His Favorite Song From AKA’s Altar Ego Album. Altar Ego, the deceased rapper’s body of work, made his imprint on the game with masterpieces like Victory Lap, Bang, and I Want It All, to name a few.

Altar Ego had 18 tracks, many of which have a high repeat value. Raphael Benza, who saw AKA’s development, took to Twitter to announce his all-time fave single from the rapper’s debut album Altar Ego.

Benza stated that his favourite tune is Mistakes, despite the fact that they failed to master and mix it effectively.

“Altar Ego..!! Were you there??? Mistakes is my all time favourite… We fail on mixing & mastering it perfectly…. But the feeling still came thru #RIPAKA #RIPTIBZ. #Altarego….” Benza Tweeted.

Despite the problems that Benza says occurred on his favourite track, the endeavour was successful. It made history as the first rap album with English lyrics, winning Best Street Urban at the South African Music Awards (SAMAs).

Despite its accomplishments, AKA did not believe Altar Ego was a worthy endeavour. The late rapper referred to it as a “weak album,” but he also commended himself for articulating his desire for achievement.

He wrote, “Hmmm dunno how I feel about this one. Personally …. I think it’s weak. I hate how my voice & my character sounds.

“Still some SOLID cuts on this Jawn tho. … also I made this album when I didn’t have any real bread that’s why I’m spitting so hard on Victory Lap for example … my tone is so aggressive throughout this project, you can hear I don’t have money yet … and not having money is AF.”
