Ramovic – I Just Believed All The Time

TS Galaxy head coach Sead Ramovic praised his players after their 1-0 victory over Chippa United confirmed their DStv Premiership status was safe and they will be playing in the top flight in the 2022/2023 season.

Given Msimango’s last-minute winner secured Galaxy the three points and also made one hundred percent sure that Galaxy would not be relegated, or go to the playoffs.

The Bosnia-Herzegovina-born coach said that Galaxy had come to win the game, and he never gave up the hope they would get the three points.

“No, we came here to win,” Ramovic told the club’s media department.

“So we knew that we have 90 minutes time. But I also have to say, a beautiful, fantastic save of Meulusi. And in the end, we scored. It was just great, but we knew that we have 90 minutes time to score, we just have to keep the zero. And then we will have a chance to score so the game it’s 90 minutes, and we knew it.

“I just believed all the time, and I actually didn’t care so much about our opponents, what they do, I just cared about this game. And ja, in the end, I’m just happy that we did and score.”

Ramovic, who replaced Owen Da Gama eight games into the season, said he was very proud of his team, and the work they did all season, and he feels they have improved a lot over the season.

“The thing is that when I came here the team, we have to be honest, we have to say that it was not a is solid team, they almost fall apart, no structure, no tactically, no knowledge,” he said.

“So we brought in, we show the guys what’s important and the spirits and the fight what they did then, just unbelievable because I don’t believe that many teams will come back after this kind of points in eight games, only two.

“So it was really almost impossible to save and to stay in the league. But we keep going, we believe that in the end hard work, patience, dedication to your job will bring you success.

“And this is actually what we did. We just worked hard. We stayed humble. We try to be better to improve every day, and they did.

“A lot of players they improved unbelievably great, and again the whole credit or most of the credit it goes of course to my players. They did an unbelievable job.”
