Ramovic – How We Beat Sundowns

TS Galaxy head coach Sead Ramovic was full of praise for his team after their victory over Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday, and revealed how the Rockets beat the defending champions.

Galaxy shocked the DStv Premiership champions, as they won 1-0 at Sundowns, with Lefa Hlongwane’s solitary goal handing Ramovic’s team the three points

The German coach was delighted with how his team applied themselves, saying they were well organised against a very strong Sundowns team.

“Ja, actually like I say before we wanted to be compact, to stay well, to defend on the low block and then try to play out the team, and I think that we played well,” Ramovic told SuperSport TV after the game.

“I think that I have to give a lot of credit to my team. We actually wanted a well-organised, compact teamwork in every stage on the game, [and that] will help us to get some points. This is what we actually did today.”

Ramovic also insisted his side need to remain humble despite beating the defending champions as each win only gives them three points and the next match is already around the corner.

“Of course, I also have to congratulate the opponent. This is a top team, a benchmark, and we are just happy that we got the three points but you know, it’s just three points now,” he added

“The season started, we have to stay humble, keep calm, train hard with a lot of joy. And we have to prepare us for the game on Sunday against the other opponent.

“We have to do it, we have to stay calm and we will. We will take out the great things of the game, we will try to make a great analyse, to see what we can still improve and then we will see what the next game will give us.”

Galaxy, who have collected four points so far, host SuperSport United on Sunday at Mbombela Stadium. Matsatsantsa started the campaign with just one point from their first two matches.
