Rachel Kolisi, the estranged wife of Springboks captain Siya Kolisi opened up about moving on, amid their divorce during an interview with Anele Mdoda on 947 Radio.
RACHEL KOLISI ON ‘MOVING ON’ FROM SIYA KOLISI
Author, director and public speaker Rachel Kolisi sat down with Anele Mdoda for an interview on her book and documentary Falling Forward on 947 radio. In the interview, Rachel mentioned that she needed to ask permission, and money for “pads, tampons, shampoo” after quitting her job to stay home with the kids.
She also talked about why she wouldn’t be changing her surname. Rachel went on to speak about why she feels moving on doesn’t mean you need another person. She explained that social media users often tell her to just move on with someone else. However, she feels that she is good on her own and is doing the work internally to heal from the divorce.
“I find it very funny, in some of the joyous comments that I received on social media over the last few months, people are like ‘just move on already, just move on like get with someone else.’ I find it so interesting that that’s what’s considered moving on,” she said.
“I’m good by myself. I don’t think I’ve ever been better by myself,” she continued.
“It’s my life, It’s my journey, whether or not I’m in the public eye, shouldn’t determine the work I do internally and how I am processing things,” she added.
She went on to say that she is not 100% there as yet, but she is more equipped.
SIYA KOLISI MOVES ON WITH 25-YEAR-OLD INFLUENCER
Her estranged husband, Siya Kolisi on the other hand has moved on. He is rumoured to be dating 25-year-old influencer Rachel John. The romance rumours began in late 2025, when fans identified Rachel (John) as the woman sitting next to the rugby star at the ATP Tour Finals in Turin. Siya was also spotted at Rachel’s (John) birthday celebration in Jeffrey’s Bay in late December.
Earlier this year, the pair l went on “baecation” to Victoria Falls. The pair did not share photos of or with each other in Victoria Falls. However, a fan spotted them together, boarding a cruise on the Zambezi River, confirming their romance. In February, the pair were both in Los Angeles and New York together.
Siya was married to Rachel (Kolisi) for eight years before announcing their split in October 2024. The former married couple have two children together – Nicholas (11) and Keziah (9).
