Queen Terc to be laid to rest: Memorial and funeral details revealed

The management of rising Lekompo artist Mmabatho Mogakala, also known as Queen Terc, has announced details of her memorial and funeral services.

She died in a car accident in Limpopo province on Tuesday, 28 April 2026, and quickly began trending on social media as South Africans paid tribute to her.

Queen Terc The Vocalist’s memorial and funeral services were announced on Tuesday, 5 May 2026, a week after she died in a car accident on 28 April 2026.

The Phalaborwa-born Lekompo star is the latest in the genre to pass away, following Adifele Maimele, aka Fuego, who died earlier in April 2026.

As reported by Daily Sun, the musician’s memorial service will be held on Thursday, 7 May 2026, while her funeral service will take place on Saturday, 9 May 2026, in Phalaborwa. The venues for the services are yet to be confirmed.

Her passing sent shockwaves throughout the entertainment industry, with fans, followers and friends sharing their heartfelt condolences.
