Viewers who love controversy and drama are in for a treat, as Reverend Thabo Mlombi and his wife Nandipha – who is popularly known as Queen Nandi, will display various aspects of their lives on their new reality show, Nandi & The Rev.

Queen Nandi is no stranger to television, as she was part of Pastor’s Wives; and had a cameo role on Smoke and Mirrors. This time, the Mlombis and their seven children have bagged a reality show which will premier on August 24 on Mzansi Magic.

Nandi & The Rev will follow the turbulent journey of Reverend Thabo and his wife Nandipha, who were once celebrated as the stars of the pulpit. Their outwardly perfect life was destroyed when they lost both their home and sense of stability.

Now, with their marriage under duress and their children’s trust hanging in the balance, they face the tremendous task of repairing their lives while the public watches closely. Driven by Nandi’s fierce tenacity and Thabo’s personal battle for redemption, the series poses a heartfelt question: can love, faith and willpower help this family find their way back to wholeness?

Mzansi Magic took to their Instagram page to introduce the new reality TV show, set to take over the slot of Izingane Zes’thembu.

Instagram users weighed in:

One user said: “New season of The Ranakas perhaps?”

Another one said: “I can’t wait.”

While another one added: “I am happy for the Mlombis. May this open more doors of opportunity for them. ‘Never laugh at anyones misfortune, because one day you may find yourself in exactly the same situation.’ – Steve Wentworth.”
